SEMA 2010: Tjin Edition 2011 Mustang
One of the hottest new custom car builders is Neil Tjin who made a splash at SEMA last year with a heavily customized Chevrolet Camaro. Tjin is back at SEMA this year, although he has worked his magic on Ford’s pony car this time around. Starting with a 2011 Mustang GT, Tjin teamed up with L&R Paint and Body in Orange, California to apply custom DuPont Cromax Pro paint on a custom designed body kit. The car also received a fabricated metal rear wing, Webasto sunroof, and a set of Forgestar 5-spoke wheels.
Underneath the hood of the Tjin Edition Mustang is Vortech’s new supercharger kit along with a set of American Racing headers. The 5.0L V8 also benefits from a Magnaflow exhaust system and a nitrous system from Nitrous Express. A custom digital air suspension kit from Air Lift allows the car to drop literally all the way to the ground. Inside the Mustang is a set of custom-wrapped Status racing seats and harnesses, Auto Meter gauges, a Pioneer head unit, and Dynamic speakers, subs and amplifiers.
