Roush Barrett-Jackson Edition Mustang prototype auctioned off for $100,000

The concept car for the new line of 2010 ROUSH® Barrett-Jackson Edition Mustangs was sold today for a total of $100,000 during the Palm Beach, Fla., auction. This car was custom painted in “Back in Black” with “Red Hot Chili Pepper” stripes that sparkled under the television lights. The auction was shown live during the SPEED television broadcast.
This car was the prototype for a run of 25 units on the 2010 Ford Mustang chassis, each sporting 540 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. Customers ordering the car, or the ROUSH®-authorized Ford dealerships that inventory a unit, are able to choose both the base coat and the side stripes in any combination from the 25 available smoking hot Planet Color Barrett-Jackson Collector Color Series paints. This represents the first model where ROUSH® will completely re-paint the exterior from front fascia to rear bumper.
